Let’s welcome Mrs. Mildred Tuttobene, the head librarian at Lightfoot’s chosen workplace. We’ll see her from time to time in matters pertaining to the library and, perhaps indirectly, with other members of the household. A few of you, my readers, may be able to spot a certain actress upon whom she is based; you’ll have to work at it, though, since I’ve had to take a few liberties. Perhaps I’ll put a few hints one day, depending upon prickly thumbs and greener pastures…
