First-Timer's Syndrome

Nickey: “Shee, I… I really am enjoying this, more than I can tell you, and it’s so good to lie here with you, and…”
Sheila: “You still aren’t sure, are you, pet?” Nickey: “God, I’m such an idiot…”
Sheila: “You’re not an idiot. It’s always scary to wonder about what might happen with something new.”
Nickey: “You’re so calm. Do you always accept change so calmly?” Sheila: “Not always, no.” (Sheila’s thought bubble shows her freaking out, the first time she changed into anthro form.)

There’s a story about Sheila’s first visit to the house, and it involved some serious need for calming. Tea helped a lot.

All relationships have periods of acclimation; some are a bit more daring than others. In this Pride Month, take a moment to remember your first love, whatever form it might have taken. Be proud to know who you are, what you are (a secret furry?), and how you’ve grown by having the courage to show love in every way you can.
