DVD Rewinder Part Deux

Theo: “So what’s the problem with your DVD rewinder, sir?” Voice on phone: “Well, I’m not sure that it’s actually working.”
Theo: “Okay, let’s start from the top. Describe how you use it.” Voice on phone: “After I finish watching a borrowed DVD, I take the disc out of my player, put it in the rewinder, and close the lid. After about a minute, the lid pops up and, supposedly, it’s rewound properly.”
Theo: “Only a minute? Wow, that’s fast. You must have one of the top-of-the-line models.” Voice on phone: “Spare no expense, that’s me.”
Voice on phone: ”So… is it working properly?” Theo: “I’m sure we’ll be able to determine that to your completely satisfaction, sir.” Theo (thought bubble): Gullible is as gullible does, sir.

As someone who had a collection of some 300 VHS tapes, back in the day, I can tell you that the rewinder saved wear and tear on the read/record head of my tape player. DVDs are much easier to store, and they are also much easier to collect (I have over 1200, at last count). I promise that I've never purchased a DVD rewinder; Theo wouldn't let me.
