When Cora is Sad

Theo: “Cora? How are you feeling?” Cora: “Better, I guess… I didn’t get what I wanted, but at least maybe it’s not impossible now.”
Cora: “I don’t quite know what to do. When I’m sad, I usually try to…”
From Theo’s closet, we hear a loud TWANG.
Lightfoot: “No buttons – it can’t be Theo’s.” Theo: “The house protects us.”

In a house that’s bigger on the inside than on the outside, where people can change into their furry selves, and where closets can contain portals into other places, why shouldn’t a guitar make a visit from the other house into this one? It’s good to have someone who cares enough to help take care of you. I guess this could be what used to be called a “Hallmark moment,” when a card in the mail was the best way to give someone a boost. You were warned that I’m a romantic… and you’re gonna get more of it, so get ready!

Today’s strip was partially underwritten by my wonderful artist friend Lavilovi, who has supplied other commissions for me and is wonderful to work with. You can find information about his prices at his page on SoFurry (which is also my furry home on the web).

We all deal with sadness in our own ways.
