Cora's Theme
The beautiful music posted here has been provided by the exceptional furry musician, Flare Starfire. All of Flare’s music — going back well over a decade — is completely improvised, brought forth through the inspiration of words, experiences, emotions. He has been following this strip from the beginning (yes, our relationship goes back many years), and when he saw the last strip (and a preview of this one), he was inspired to give voice to Cora’s guitar through his keyboard. His first impressions came from “the subtle wag of the fox tail” and the house “holding itself still to listen.”
Of this piece, he said, “To me, the house gave Cora her guitar because it is how she deals with raw emotions. I have tried to place myself back to a time when I didn’t know myself, and to sound out how it felt to acknowledge that I didn’t have it just yet. The beautiful sadness of ‘not there yet.’ But still one step closer. Always one step closer.”
Than you so very much, Flare, for your music, for your gift, for your love. I love you, too.

I love this, though I still hope she will find her furry self soon. But she now has a home that those in it care for her as much as the house itself does

A beautiful song for a beautiful moment. I’m curious to see how Cade and Ophelia will welcome Cora.
