The Firm Approach

Theo: “Okay, House. I know you’ve opened up this portal before, and you’re going to open it up for me now.”
Theo: “If you don’t open up this portal right now, I’m going to do some serious damage to this door. Sheila has ‘Hello Kitty’ stickers, and I’m not afraid to use them!”
The closet door opens sharply and knocks Theo backward.
Theo (thought bubble): So much for the firm approach.

I don’t think it needs mentioning that Theo didn’t take courses in diplomacy while in college. I didn’t think he’d resort to threats of vandalism… Then again, dealing with inter-dimensional portals always makes me a bit tetchy, so I can sympathize with him.

I’m terrible. I must confess it took me days before I understood the terror behind the threat. A ‘course I laughed a fair treat when I did….
Louise: There are worse threats, …
Genesee: ‘K, name one threat worse for a wooden surface than “Hello Kitty” stickers.
Louise: Tiger claws!
Genesee: … mmmmm….. n’K.
