Splitting the Pair

Ophelia: “I guess what really bothers me is the divorce cases.” Lightfoot: “It’s sad to see love end.”
Caedmon: “With more than half of marriages in this country ending in divorce, it makes you wonder if love was ever there in the first place.” Ophelia: “You have a point.”
Ophelia: “I guess I only get to see them at their worst, but these people act like wild beasts, going at each other tooth and nail, screaming, fighting, tearing each other apart.”
Ophelia: “You’d have better luck pairing up a rabbit with a wolf.” Lightfoot: “Has that ever been done?” Caedmon: “It’d never last.” Note at the bottom of the comic: Hugs to Bill Holbrook (www.kevinandkell.com)

If you’re not a fan of Bill Holbrook’s Kevin and Kell, click on that link and get hooked. It is the longest-running daily web-comic in the world (started in September 1995). His is quite the reputation for any of us to aspire to! When I first wrote this strip, back in September 2008, a nod to this classic pair seemed like a helluva good idea. After all this time, I finally get to post it… and yeah, still a helluva good idea. Thanks, Bill.

I’m very grateful for the plug! Edgard is a longtime friend who is also a patron of this comic and of my personal Patreon. One of the perks of the furry fiction-writing Patreon is exclusive access (for the foreseeable future) to my trio of NaNoWriMo novels, called “Grayson’s Triad.” In that story, a rabbit and a fox do indeed become intimately involved, and by all accounts, it’s a love for the ages. To learn more about that Patreon, please visit this link …and thanks for your consideration.
