Defining What's Safe

Theo: “Lightfoot, I’m not real comfortable with the idea of having some kind of trans-dimensional portal in my room. What if something else comes through?”
Theo: “What if something in there swallows me whole, like a monster out of ‘Poltergeist’?”
Lightfoot: “The house protects us, remember? Nothing bad is going to come out of that door, only something beneficial for us.”
Theo: “You mean, maybe the house is trying to give me a girlfriend?” Lightfoot: “No, that would mean the house isn’t protecting HER.”

Lightfoot, like all truly good friends, has the remarkable ability to be comforting and snarky at the same time. I hope that I’m not showing my age by invoking Poltergeist (1982). It remains one of the great fright flicks of all time, and it seems natural that it would be on Theo’s “Faves” list. (On the 2015 remake, he is resolutely and uncharacteristically silent.) We’d have to hope that being Theo’s girlfriend would not be considered a nightmare. How about it, ladies? Cast yer votes…

I believe that Theo should have a GF, and being a pure human would be an interesting set of threads. How does she see Theo? Remember it’s the personality, ultimately, that makes the GF/BF, not the fur. Also where is she from? All sorts of interesting questions. This doe has spoken!
