Proper Titles

Lightfoot: “Are things really that bad at work, Ophelia?” Caedmon: “How could they be good? She works at a law firm.”
Ophelia: “The law is really fascinating; it’s the people it attracts that I have trouble with. One of my bosses, for instance…”
(behind Ophelia is a sign reading “Doolittle & Waite, Attorneys at Law”) Boss (out of frame): “I simply feel that, having earned my Juris Doctorate, I should be called by my proper title.”
Ophelia (thought bubble): “Dr. Doolittle?” Boss (out of frame): “I worked hard for it, after all…”

Those moments when you aren’t sure that you can listen to your boss say one more thing without breaking into gales of laughter…  (Have I told you how many times I’ve been fired in my many years?)

I love the law firm’s name. That one is almost as good as Dewey, Cheatham & Howe.
