Penalties for Early Withdrawal

Sheila: “So, tiger, tell me – were you an only child like me and foxy?” Theo: “No, I’ve got a younger brother. I don’t think he’s furry, though.”
Lightfoot: “You sound unsure.” Theo: “Well, we had something of a falling out over the years.” Sheila: “Sibling rivalries?”
Theo: “More or less. I managed to get through all of my schooling, but he didn’t graduate from college. He left early.”
Theo: “What you might call premature matriculation.” Sheila: “Pulled out before he was done, eh?” Lightfoot: “Not what I’d call a bonding moment.”

Few things are as unsatisfying as not finishing what you started. After all that effort and expectation, it’s disappointing to miss scoring. Even banks will lose interest (yours). Worse yet, the puns will come back to haunt you as well.

Lisa W provided this one for me when I was still creating it, starting back in the fall of 2010. Took a while for me to get around to this one; I hope she hasn’t minded the wait.

Sheila’s last line slayed me! Now I cannot help but wonder on what else Theo and his bro might compete with each other.
