Spacious and Well-Appointed

Theo: “It’s what you told Cora: I’ve always known that I’m a tiger, just as you’re a fox. But here in this house, we actually become our real selves. It has consequences I’d never considered before.”
Lightfoot: “I doubt anyone considered it before. Interracial relationships, gay relationships, they’ve been around forever, but legalities and acceptance have always been slow.”
Lightfoot: “There must be other houses out there where others of us exist, but even if there were hundreds, thousands, all around the world, we’re still human-looking when we go outside.”
Theo: “You’re telling me that we’re quite literally living in the closet?” Lightfoot: “Don’t complain; it’s a very spacious and well-appointed closet.”

Theo’s concerns are well-grounded, and it’s uncharted territory. Still, as we’ve said from the first installment of the strip: It’s good to have a place where you can be yourself.

*Chuckles* Only Lightfoot could get away with that joke.
