Editorial Comment

Narration bar: The following is a guest editorial. Gabriel: “I’m Gabriel Clyde, from Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. I’m here to complain about the previous strip.”
Gabriel: As an equine, I’m quite fond of my oats, and I don’t care to have cartoonists making snide remarks about my favorite breakfast, thus spoiling my appetite.”
Gabriel: “It is my opinion that the writer of this script should be tried and jailed as a cereal killer.”
Sheila: “Not bad. We should hire him for the strip.” Lightfoot: “He’d fit right in.”

It is with great pleasure that I introduce to you a most treasured and beloved friend, the wonderful and pun-loving stallion Gabriel Clyde. Himself a fine author and fellow paranomasiac, Gabriel trotted into my life about seven years ago, and my life has been better for it every day since. I’m glad to bring my friend (and proud supporter of the Collingwood Magpies) into my weird world for all of you to meet. We’ll be seeing more of him in future. Of course, we’d be seeing him sooner if we had more supporters… *ahem, cough*

It could end as a furry Monty Python’ sketch :
“As a French horse, I am very offended by your previous strip!
French horses are not crazy oat lovers!
And I would add that–OM NOM NOM
