Out of the Closet

Lightfoot: “Cora, I’m not sure exactly what you’re asking.” Cora: “It’s just that I’ve never seen Theo as a human. When he came through the portal into my house, he was still a tiger.”
Lightfoot: “Point taken; you’ve never seen him outside of one the other of the houses.” Cora: “Exactly. And because of the suspicions of one of my housemates, I think it’s better that I visit here, rather than have him come to see me.”
Lightfoot: “So what is it that you’d like to do exactly?” Cora: “I want to go out and do things together: see a movie, walk in a park, that sort of thing. Just be with him out in the open.”
Lightfoot: “Out of the closet, so to speak.” Cora: “Has that feel to it, doesn’t it?”

This is actually a callback to this comic from earlier in the Cora & Theo love story arc. It does, however, have that feel to it, doesn’t it? As Lightfoot pointed out, at least it’s a spacious and well-appointed closet that they live in. Still, might be fun to pop down to the malt shop once in a while, eh? (Yes, I know — that phrase was out-of-style even before I was born. So sue me.)
