Surprising What You Can See

Lightfoot: “Wow. I’m surprised that anyone else even knows about this book; it’s been here a long time. Why does it glow?” Voice Out of Frame: “You can see the glow?”
Lightfoot: “Sure. You’d be surprised what you can see, if you take the time to look.”
Lightfoot appears to be in his fox form.
Voice Out of Frame: “Sometimes, I’m not so sure that looking is a good idea.” Lightfoot: “Oh, I’m sorry; perhaps I’m having a bad fur day.”

Our visitor from “Inter-Library Loan” is having more than one surprise during his visit to Lightfoot’s branch. Did Lightfoot actually change? We've seen him in fox form when he's in the alone in the library. Maybe it’s just what our visitor is seeing. To borrow from a rather horrid example of television comedy… We present; you decide.

Does the book enable others to see their true selves for a bit after being exposed to the glowing book and/or reading from it?
