Getting Personal

Sheila (from inside her room): Swearing and curses, represented by dingbats.
Theo: “Phee, are you all right?” Ophelia: “It’s my computer again. I swear the blasted thing just doesn’t like me.”
Theo: “Oh come on; that’s the sort of junk I hear at the help desk all day long. Computers these days are sophisticated, but I don’t think they have actual personalities yet. It can’t ‘not like you’.”
Ophelia: “Try telling IT that!” On the computer screen: SAME TO YOU, STINKY.

If you were wondering whether or not your computer is out to get you, let me assure you… it is.

Welcome to 2019! As we approach our first year anniversary of publication (mid-March), I want you to know that we’ve got a lot of great comics coming your way. By now, we’ve had a chance to see Theo at work at The Last Hope Help Desk; we’ll soon be getting a look into Lightfoot’s work at the library, Sheila at the sporting goods store, and Ophelia at her law office. Caedmon also gets to show us how he deals with having to become an office temporary, and his own exploits will mirror my own, with anecdotes from my checkered past. Stay with us and find out more!

A veteran of the RPG “Paranoia” could have told Phee that the computer is never your friend!

Having worked in a library as my first job, I would love to see how Lightfoot deals with folks misusing the library computers and other resources!
