Quantity is Not Quality

Cora: “I’ve been watching nature programs lately. Especially about big cats.” Theo: “Oh yes?”
Cora: “Well, it’s not an entirely new interest.” Theo: “Tease. So, what interests you most?”
Cora: “I’m amazed by the idea of lions mating as frequently as every ten minutes over a period of a couple of days.”
Cora: “There’s a down-side: They only do it about once a year.” Theo: “I can see they might want some rest after all that…”

Modern data tells me that this frequency (based, I’m sorry to say, on memories of a program I saw years ago) might be a wee bit exaggerated. I stand by the joke, if only because it gave us the chance to see Theo’s reaction. Cora is indeed a tease, but not a mean one, I promise.
